To provide a range of linked services to young people aged between 11 and 19 years within Greater Pollok that engage, inform, divert and support young people at risk of social exclusion.
CCH is a long established local CDT which works towards delivering services to local people and organisations, particularly focusing on those in disadvantage. Breakthrough Youth Project works with young people age 8 – 25yrs living in North West Glasgow, particularly Maryhill, with the Princes Trust element focusing on those aged 16 to 25 in disadvantage and assisting them into employment.
Bridging the Gap 25 Nov 2014
Schools transition programme for the most vulnerable P7 pupils. This programme gives young people in the last year of primary school the opportunity to prepare for the transition to secondary school. For S5, S6 and adult volunteers, the project provides support to develop their transferrable skills.
The Women's Rights - Employment and Domestic Support Services provides advice and representation to women in Castlemilk on employment law and benefits, and on common problems such as domestic abuse and child welfare, which prevent the take up of employment.
Castlemilk Youth Complex 25 Nov 2014
Castlemilk Youth Complex is an independent youth work - youth arts organisation. It operates informal learning youth work programmes and innovative youth theatre and music projects with excluded young people. The charity is managed by the young people using its state of the art facilities, including, a fully equipped 80-seat theatre, digital recording and broadcasting studios and visual arts media.
