This is a project by a registered charity in Harrogate. The organisation will use funding to deliver one-to-one support to older and vulnerable people in their own homes with conversation, accompanied walking and shopping trips, outings and parties. This will enable the group to continue offering befriending and social activities to older people, reducing isolation and providing beneficiaries with support and friendship.

The Partnership aim to provide an access point for older people to local services. Information will be given on other groups working for older people, providing support and advice. The proposed facility will house a drop in centre, library and meeting rooms, and will run arts and crafts activities. This award will pay for the research needed to ensure that the needs of local people are incorporated into the plans for the centre.

The aim of the group is to organise regular exercise to keep the over 60's mobile and active, helping to combat isolation and promote social inclusion. The project is to take the older people on a day out to experience a Health Spa, which will increase the skills of members by introducing them to alternative therapies and help them to realise the benefits of regular exercise. The award is for costs of trip to health spa including transport.
Autumn Fayre 09 Sep 2005
This group promotes exercise and alternative therapy activities for older people and less mobile people living in five different villages in Lincolnshire. The project is to hold an autumn fayre which will bring together the five groups in the five different villages. The highlight of the fayre will be a traditional 'high tea' served by local catering students.
The organisation currently provides weekly exercise classes for people over the age of 60 and less able people. At present, these classes are held in four rural locations in Lincolnshire. The project aims to extend this service by training 12 more exercise supervisors and establishing at least 24 new classes in villages along the Lincolnshire coast.

BREAKING DOWN ISOLATION 05 Feb 2018
The Warrington Older People's Forum aims to reduce social isolation amongst older people in Warrington through activities, days out and short breaks. They hold meetings every first Monday in the month with speakers and provide supportive information to older people. The funding will be used as a contribution towards rent for the 2018/19 year and to keep the monthly activities going for elderly people using the Whitecross Community centre in Warrington (including small purchase for items such as leaflet printing and refreshments).
Participate and Celebrate Age Programme 22 Sep 2011
This is a project by a community organisation in Great Yarmouth. The group will use the funding to support a borough-wide volunteering programme which will engage older people in activities, build capacity for engagement and plan service needs.This will address a wide range of issues, including reducing isolation, access to care and services, and reviewing support services to ensure effective delivery of services to older people.
This award will be used to run a one day creative arts event aimed at young parents and older people. organiser fee, artists and materials, creche, transport and catering, room hire and publicity and postage.
The group provide a range of support services for older people in the Otley area. They will use the award to provide a series of social and cultural activities.

The project will provide advice and support to older people in Otley who are at risk of becoming isolated and lonely. The project will also develop volunteering across the organisation so that volunteers can directly contribute towards reducing isolation and loneliness amongst older people.
Outreach worker and associated costs 23 May 2005
Citizens' Rights for Older People provide free and confidential services such as help with housing and debt problems for people aged over sixty to help them live independent lives. With help from a Lottery award it will be able to employ a new outreach worker to increase awareness of the group in rural areas of Ashford and Shepway. This will help more vulnerable people to benefit from the services that it can offer.
WW2 Victory Celebration Supper Dance 15 Jul 2005
Ryedale Forum for Older People 50+ group in North Yorkshire will use an award to organise a Victory Celebration Supper Dance, this will include WW2 themed display boards and a fifteen piece dance band.
