The group will use the funding to plan and run community Carnival event. This will engage the local community in a multi-cultural event to improve community cohesion. The project will also provide volunteers with essential skills and experience in planning events which enable the support further events.

This group was established in 2001 to represent the Afghan community in Scotland. The project will bring together BME people from different backgrounds and faiths at a cultural event to celebrate Eid in the west end of Glasgow.

The project will use the funding to create a youth club and community forum group. This will bring the community together using positive activities to encourage greater tolerance and understanding.
The project will use the funding to improve play equipment at the school. This will encourage children to take part in exercise and lead to healthier lifestyles.

The funding will be used by this group to run a series of wrestling and martial arts classes for children and young people living in an area of deprivation. This will increase participation in physical activity and improve self-esteem and wellbeing.

The cafÃ© will provide work experience, language classes and training opportunities to those in the local community in particular targeting those of Somali origin. The organisation aims to empower ethnic minorities, refugees and foreign national young people in Scotland supporting their full participation in society. The project will celebrate the cultures of Asian, European and African communities in Scotland.
Gambian Cultural Weekend 11 Nov 2016
The project will use the funding to run a two-day sporting, cultural and musical extravaganza. This will enable the organisation to promote traditional Gambian and Senegalese culture and bring the community together to integrate and have a deeper understanding and appreciation between members of the community.
Next Generation Youth Project 08 Feb 2017
This group will use the funding to offer support workshops to young carers in the black minority ethnic community. The workshops will offer them employment training and work experience, helping to reduce social isolation.
This group plans to open its own training centre of excellence, incorporating a live restaurant environment offering work placements and modern apprenticeships. It has recently secured office space and will use the funding for three staff posts for 4 months to investigate the feasibility of setting the centre up and to research how it can develop as a training provider.
This project will provide culturally sensitive support services for African BME people, living with HIV and AIDS in Glasgow. . Support will include information and advice on how to manage life in Scotland with an HIV diagnosis, in a culturally sensitive manner.

This organisation delivers a variety of events for Bangladeshi people living in Glasgow and the wider community. They will use the money to devise and perform a work of participatory theatre centred on Bangladeshi History.

The group will use the funding to up-skill young people from disadvantaged backgrounds so that they can deliver a range of community development projects. This will provide beneficiaries with a range of transferable employability skills and encourage community cohesion.
