This award will allow them to pay for a worker to organise training courses for parents and young mothers, aimed at building their skills, confidence and employability. This grant will allow the group to help provide more support for elderly and disabled people in their area by enabling them to extend the hours they can provide transport, and to take on more volunteers and develop their roles. Volunteers will become 'buddies' to new members, and will be able to go along to the clubs with them to help them build up their confidence. They will also signpost to appropriate services and activities.
