The Social Prescribing Project 22 Mar 2018
The organisation is running a social prescribing project for adults across Northern Ireland and Scotland to improve their health and wellbeing. GPs will refer patients who need non-medical care to a social prescriber who will link them with community activities, including fitness classes and social groups. They are working in partnership with The Healthy Living Centre Alliance, the Health and Social Care Trusts in Northern Ireland and the Scottish Communities for Health and Wellbeing.

Resilient Youth 31 Oct 2018
The five-year project is supporting young people in Derry/Londonderry who are at risk of health issues, antisocial behaviour and unemployment. They received £499,819 to work with St Joseph’s Boys’ School and St Cecilia’s College. The project is training 30 young people to be health champions who will use their skills and experiences to provide peer support to pupils in both schools. The project will organise workshops and support to families who are facing difficult issues.
This weekly youth club programme, trips and homework support provides children experiencing social isolation with opportunities to develop new skills and friendships, and improve health and fitness through fun sports activities.
