An award will pay for IT equipment, enabling Citizens Advice in Three Rivers to give a faster and more efficient service to its clients both at the bureaux and on home visits. Citizens Advice assists members of the public with problems on a wide range of issues.
CSV Vocal Project 15 Aug 2012
This grant will expand the volunteer project for people with learning disabilities into new parts of the county, offering a programme of training, volunteering and supported employment using community mentors. Called the Vocal Project, participants work with community volunteers who help them to access training and social events. As their confidence around people and skills develop, they will then gradually move into volunteering placements either in a group or an individual setting._x000B_
This charity will use the funding to replace the telephone system at one of its offices and upgrade the websites for two other offices. This will improve the telephone and website services for local residents, predominantly clients who can't drop in to the CAB through being disabled, housebound or a carer.
Integrating Advice in Three Rivers 19 Apr 2013
The aim of this new project is to improve access to advice services for the people in the Three Rivers area by bringing together advice partners to develop a stronger local network. Citizens Advice Service in Three Rivers (CASITR) will act as lead body and aim to create a more coherent approach to better meet needs. At present, organisations are stretched financially with heavy caseloads. A network will increase efficiency, reduce duplication and operating costs, enable best practice to be shared.

Caseworker for clients who have complex cases. 14 Sep 2005
The project is to employ a part time Caseworker to handle the complex benefits workload of the CAB in South Oxhey. The Caseworker would work with the clients and advocate for them at appeals tribunals, in most cases, leading to a positive review of the previously rejected claim for benefits._x000B_
This is a project by a registered charity in Hertfordshire. The group will use funding to install a modern telephone system at its three offices. This will enable the group to better meet the needs of the wider community and improve the level of service and advice offered.

Community Service Volunteers (CSV) Media in Cambridge has been awarded a grant to enable them to carry out a range of activities as part of their commemoration and celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the end of WW2. The project will include original BBC 1940's style radio equipment to broadcast archive audio material, where the children will be allowed to read them and make up their own editions to be recorded to take home.
Head Space 20 Mar 2014
The funding will be used to continue this project, Head Space, in Ipswich which aims to support people at risk of or experiencing poor mental health. The project will deliver a programme of personalised support to improve social skills, increase confidence and self esteem; all of which play a critical role in the rehabilitation process for people with mental health difficulties. The project will also support 40 peer mentors to gain valuable transferable skills to help them access employment or training.
Media and communications workshops 17 Feb 2005
CSV Media is the arm of CSV which seeks to use media to empower and inform people to give different communities a voice. The project 'FIRST' will work with people who are disadvantaged in the labour market and have low levels of IT skills. It will run a series of workshops around the Ipswich area on the subject of interactive storytelling enabling people to share experiences and gain understanding.
A project to fund a part-time advice worker to help those who are housebound complete Disability Living Allowance and Attendance Allowance application forms. The three year grant will pay for the salary of a part-time advice worker.
VISION Project 01 Feb 2012
This is a project by a charity and not for profit company based in Ipswich. The group will use funding to work with BME women to enable them to take part in volunteering activities, to run community events, including cookery and healthy eating events and to develop their own web page. This will reduce isolation for BME women, enable them to integrate into society and to publicise their activities to more BME women to encourage them to become involved in their activities.

This project will provide volunteering activities and opportunities for a wide range of people in the UK. It aims to enable young people aged 14-19 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to raise their aspirations, independence and work-skills through community engagement, supported by volunteer mentors. Based in Kings Lynn, the project will run across the country.
