This cricket club will use the award to develop its junior section by creating an Under 9s girls team, visiting local schools to introduce them to the game, production of a welcome pack for new members, and expanding its existing junior teams. coach training courses, first aid training, junior equipment including portable scoreboard, welcome pack production and printing costs.

Hillcrest Primary School - Sports Hall Refurbishment 21 Jun 2004

The grant will provide new wheelchair access and upgrade the floor heating in an existing four-court sports hall. New activities such as netball, dance and hockey will contribute to one of the key school's aims to develop the participation of ethnic minority girls. The improved facility will also allow extending timetabling for additional use. It will assist to increase capacity for wider use by 1020 pupils, 450 other school users and 450 community users.
