The Concert will have entertainment, refreshments, and the participants will be wearing fancy dress. The Concert will be for a wide range of veterans from around the local region.

A project to commemorate the events leading up to the end of WW2 with the provision of a "Day of Nostalgia" for the benefit of members of this group and the wider community.

The focus of the group is the support of ex service personnel. The award will be used to fund a trip Wageningen, Holland to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the capitulation of German and Japanese forces.

An award has been made to the British Legion Culleybackey Branch to allow them to put on a display of personal memorabilia for the village. They will also have a military vehicle display at the event and food will be provided.

Aquatint Rememberance 24 Jul 2007

This branch of the Royal British Legion will use an award to organise a visit to France to take part in a Remembrance Ceremony for the operations of British Commandos on the Normandy coast. The project will also give members a chance to visit the site of the Normandy landings and to be given a guided tour of the area by a former member of the French Resistance.

Fete and Entertainment 25 May 2005

The Royal British Legion Minchinhampton Branch have been awarded a grant that will allow them to carry out a 60th anniversary community event, where veterans will be present to talk to children and a display of wartime memorabilia will be present. The group will also host a 1940's style event for the veterans with entertainment from the era. A booklet will also be produced about the local community during the war and the impact of rationing, etc.

85th Anniversary Celebration for Branch Opening 09 Feb 2007

A project to stage a free concert by a championship brass band and a parade for the whole community, and a party for approximately 250 people by this branch of the British Legion in Tamworth, Staffordshire. The grant will include funding of hire charges, publicity and refeshments.
