Therapeutic gardening project 05 Jul 2017
The aims of Refugees Welcome - Crawley are to encourage a positive narrative about refugees in Crawley, to welcome Syrian people who are resettled in the town and to welcome refugees living in the town or passing through the town. Funding was provided to reimburse volunteers for petrol and for garden tools and compost, seeds and materials to make raised beds.
Grant to Bentswood Community Partnership 14 Jul 2017
Bentswood Community Partnership aim to develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged community of the Bentswood Ward in Haywards Heath. Funding was provided towards the costs of running a 12 week youth diversion project, in particular towards the costs associated with engaging a youth worker for this period.
Grant to Deaf Cultural Outreach Group 14 Jul 2017
DCOG aim to promote the Deaf identity positively; create opportunities; strengthen the community; and to provide community-led services in British Sign Language (BSL) and Deaf culture. Funding was provided to cover a wide range of organisational costs in order to increase capacity and capability.
Nutley Parochial Church Council runs a monthly Village Lunch which is open to everyone in the local community, but which mainly attracts those over retirement age. Funding was provided towards the costs of installing acoustic panels in the ceiling to reduce the echoing in the building, making conversation much easier, especially for the elderly and hard of hearing.
The Community Minibus Association (West Sussex) operates transport services for West Sussex residents who are unable to reasonably use public transport. Funding was provided to help with the purchase of two replacement minibuses.

ASAP raise awareness about autism within black and minority ethnic communities, and provide mutual support and information to BME families with autistic children. Funding was provided to support 3 monthly gatherings of their members and a workshop on autism and relating to an autistic child.

iContact are a dynamic Lewes-based, community-led support group for the families of children and young people with an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). Funding was provided to support the organisation to continue their work in supporting families. They also plan to build a kids led forum and connect with a range of local arts facilities to make arts and culture more accessible for people with autism.

Auntie Val’s Kitchens Community Interest Company produces a range of Jams, marmalade chutneys and pickles. Their workforce consists of a variety of people of all ages with a range of disabilities, as well people in need of work experience or training, social integration, numeracy & literacy skills and much more. Funding was provided towards the cost of purchasing an automated labelling machine.
