The group will use the funding to provide activities and workshops to isolated disadvantaged beneficiaries to build confidence and self esteem through working together to increase their skills. This will provide beneficiaries with the opportunity to reduce isolation and broaden their experiences.
Gateway Project 04 Jun 2015
This project will focus on local neighbourhoods who are struggling to access training and employment opportunities for a variety of practical reasons such as lack of crÃ¨che facilities, health problems, lack of basic skills, language barriers and lack of confidence. It will encourage and support project participants in gaining the practical skills and knowledge they need to access other courses, employment or services, and the confidence and experience to use them.

The group will use the funding to run engagement and literacy sessions at Tyburn Community Library. This will enable beneficiaries to improve their literacy.
Safer and Warmer at St Toms 22 Apr 2015
The group will use the funding to provide new central heating and fire alarm systems for its community hall that serves a wide range of local groups and organisations as its current equipment is dilapidated and irreparable. This will improve this community facility and ensure beneficiaries' safe and continued use.

Labour For Change (LFC) 25 Jan 2017
The group will further develop an employment pilot that was delivered in 2014-15 by The Jericho Foundation. The project will be open to anyone over 16 years of age living in Birmingham or surrounding areas who self-identify, or is referred as, a survivor of modern slavery or those at risk. The project aims to offer a range of support to help people re-enter safe work, which is a key component of both rehabilitation and protection from re-trafficking.
The group will use the funding to undertake a feasibility and consultation study to review and address the community need for activities in the area. This will build capacity for community engagement and enable residents to contribute to local citizenship.
From ground to plate 08 Feb 2017
This school will use the funding to create an allotment site and reflection garden, run gardening workshops and provide healthy eating sessions for parents and children. Their knowledge of food and nutrition will be improved, leading to better physical health and wellbeing.

This group will use the funding to provide IT and internet skills training for vulnerable parents. Participantsâ€™ technology skills will be improved, making them more confident in using computers to seek employment and access local services.
