St Brigid's, Tirkane, Maghera - Playground extension and play markings
Grant scheme funding will extend an existing play area (4m x 12m) at St Brigid's Primary School in Tirkane. In addition, the current playground will be lined in thermoplastic and play equipment will be provided for the school's 118 puils and 11 pre-school users. The provision of the new facility and equipment will ensure that all pupils in the school have 1.5 hours of PE each week and give them an opportunity to enjoy safe and varied physical activity.

Multi Use Play Area
This project will convert a tarmac and grass area (15m x 22m) at Laghey Primary School, in a rural area outside Dungannon, into a safe multi purpose play area. The 41 pupils from the school will experience an increase in PE time from an average of 80 minutes to 120 minutes per week. Pupils from Killyman Primary School and 39 community users will also benefit. The facility will allow the introduction of new sports such as soccer, netball and basketball.

The project will use their grant to improve the energy efficiency of its offices at the Rainey Centre by implementing recommendations made in an energy audit. A new heating system will be installed, insulation, upgrading of glazing and lighting. The project will also carrying out air permeability and thermal imaging tests.

This is a project from the village of Draperstown in Magherafelt, Northern Ireland. The group will use the funding to transform a currently derelict building into a community library, as the first phase of a larger project that will eventually see a youth facility and community learning centre at the same venue. This enterprise will generate an income through renting the completed library space to Libraries NI, who have agreed that they will use the renovated space.
