Sign Language Course
The funding will go towards paying for a BSL tutor , to teach sign language to a group of people who have varying degree of hearing loss. This will enable them to communicate better within social groups and within their family environment.
Our school delivers free Toddler Gym sessions each week during term time for all local families with pre-school children. We have 2 staff who share the delivery of these 1 hour sessions. Most of the equipment is over 10 years old and we want to use this funding to replace/update some of the items which are no longer fit for use.
Ballroom Transformation Project
the restoration of the Stretford Public Hall's main ballroom, and other community rooms and associated areas. In its current condition, the Ballroom’s use is limited – it is currently unsuitable for the cultural events the community would love to see return to the building.

BME Art therapy for Anxiety and Depression
Psychotherapy Manchester CIC would like to create and facilitate a close BME art therapy group for Anxiety and Depression in Old Trafford, Bluesci Wellbeing centre. To improve the physical and mental wellbeing of the residents, many of whom find it difficult to take exercise due to physical disabilities/lack of confidence/ motivation.
We are a drop in group for people with all types of physical and learning disabilities or those who just want to get out and meet other people.
Limelight Wellbeing Garden
The project would involve the development of the Limelight Rooftop garden into a thriving community space providing a much-needed resource for tenants and local people to benefit from the social, economic, environmental and health benefits of food growing. We will take referrals from the GP and offer a social prescription service so people can get growing with us in the garden and meet others in the process.

The Bowdon Youth Festival is a competitive Music and Speech & Drama Festival which has been held annually in February for the past 6 years for the benefit of local school-aged children, their parents and teachers.

The TBBT model always aims to be sustainable and asks for support in the first year of expansion into a new community hub. We are six months into embedding our partnership in with SMCP and need further help to get us to the point of being able to be sustainable.

Plot 7F at Humphrey Park Allotments is approx. 6m wide x 15m long and is dedicated 100% to growing fruit and vegetables for food banks and homeless charity centres.
Longford Community Choir
We meet every Friday night to rehearse songs to perform at various events. We use Firswood Community Centre as it is convenient and safe for our choir members and there isn't much going on in this part of Stretford. We need ink to enable us to photocopy words so that our choir members can sing.
Volunteering for Success
Over the last 18 months we have identified an increased demand in the need to offer work experience to volunteers who have additional and/or complex needs. We have been approached by a parent, colleges, an autistic charity and The Department of Work and Pensions who are very keen for us to help with giving volunteering opportunities to disabled adults and disabled young people about to leave college.
Pathways to Employment
We wish to provide a supported employment service for people with learning disabilities, autism/aspergers and/or mental health needs within Trafford whose needs are not being met by other organisations. Our job coach will support these individuals to develop self-confidence and employability skills and help them to find volunteer places, work experience and, ultimately, paid employment.
