New bike and track improvements
To enable more of the young people currently on a waiting list to learn off road motocycling skills on a purpose built track. The track will be modified to make it suitable for a wider range of ability where riders can learn new skills safely.
The award will allow Kingsway Junior School to set up an after-school trampolining club. It will buy a trampoline and safety equipment, and a year's expert coaching. During the year, school staff will qualify as trampoline coaches so the club can continue at the end of the year.
Community Citizenship Project
The award will allow Watford Grammar School to pair young people from Mencap with student volunteers, who will help them to take part in sport and music. The school ran a successful pilot programme last year and the award will allow the project to be extended to many more people.
A Second World War Veteran from Hertfordshire has been awarded a grant towards travel costs for a commemorative visit to France in March of this year. Funding has also been provided for a carer to travel with the Veteran. _x000B__x000B_

To enable young people in the local community to participate in a 4 month long project to develop playwriting skills. An initial week long workshop will be following by script development sessions and then a second week of workshops involving actors culminating in a public performance of each play.
Provide interpreters for deaf people and those from Pakistan
The project will improve access to all advice services for deaf clients and clients from Pakistan by providing interpreters. The grant over three years will fund running expenses, interpreters and travel costs, carers costs and travel and line management costs.

They would use this grant to enable their existing teachers to train for higher qualifications, and 3 parents to train as new teachers. The group also wish to purchase new swimming equipment. Armonico - Keep on Swinging
This parochial church council offers a wide variety of social and community activities to the local area. The project is to run a series of singing workshops culminating in four mini-concerts where participants in the workshops can showcase the vocal skills they have developed. The workshops will be conducted by professional singers and musicians.
New Equipment for Orbit Short Mat Bowling Club
This bowling club would like to purchase three new bowling mats and other new equipment for the benefit of new members joining the club and those members who find it difficult to manoeuvre the bowling mats.

The project is to deliver two training courses including a 12-day programme for young people, introducing them to creative skills such as beadcraft, and a 12-week course that would train beadworkers and other craft workers to teach their craft to other people.
