Recipient Org: Description Voluntary Action Reigate and Banstead (VARB) is an infrastructure charity (and a company limited by guarantee) that supports and promotes the voluntary, community and faith sector, voluntary organisations and volunteering in the Borough of Reigate & Banstead. The Objects of the charity are "to promote any charitable purposes for the benefit of the community in the borough of Reigate and Banstead and the neighbourhood thereof…in particular the advancement of education, the protection of health and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness." _x000D_ _x000D_ The charity provides information and guidance in training, good practice, funding and governance/administration. It also promotes and support events and community development as well as facilitating networking and training. The Volunteer Centre acts as a brokerage service between volunteers and organisations. _x000D_ _x000D_ VARB is based in Redhill and currently employs 4 part-time staff, 1 full-time staff members and 6 volunteers. It is managed by a committee of 8 Trustees.
