Recipient Org: Description Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Management (YA) is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee, the principal activity of which is the running of the YA Theatre in Guildford. The charity aims to enrich the life of the community it serves, through presenting a series of productions both on the main stage and in the Mill Studio Theatre. YA also has a Youth & Education Department, with hundreds of local young people attending weekly activities; drama classes for teaching learning disabled young people; internships; and work experience opportunities. YA is now in its fiftieth year. The charity currently employs 27 full-time staff and 52 part-time staff. A number of freelance practitioners are employed to deliver or assist with workshops and productions. YA is managed by a Board of 11 Directors. All Directors are also Trustees of Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Trust, which holds the lease on the theatre building, and both bodies meet together on a regular basis.
