Bright Sky 2018: Spreading More Light Around The UK (360G-CR-3626541)

On average high-risk victims live with domestic abuse for 2.3 years before getting help (SafeLives, 2015). The window of opportunity to escape an abusive relationship is often brief. Bright Sky, an app developed by Hestia, supports victims of abuse to understand their situation and quickly find help from national and local services. In response to user feedback, a third phase of development will make the app available in Welsh and Bengali and will highlight legislative differences across the devolved nations of the UK. The grant will also allow the directory of support services to be regularly updated and so will support more women to escape abuse.
