Friends of Longbarn Park was set up to maintain and enhance the appearance of the Park for the benefit of the local community.The project will provide volunteering opportunities for older people within the context of an intergenerational project to maintain Lonbarn Park. The grant will purchase a range of tools for volunteer working parties at the park ie, spades, shovels, bow saws, loppers, pruners, rakes, litter pickers, forks, bag loop holders, provide safety wear ie, forestry helmets, ear defenders, safety goggles, and rigger gloves plus fuel costs and public liability insurance.
