| Recipient Org: Description | To provide a pleasant, safe environment for ladies 60 years plus to meet socially, organising entertainment - including social dancing, raffles; speakers including educational, welfare issues, gardening; organising day trips and holidays. Provide at least 3 communal lunches per year plus Christmas lunch/party, many of our members live alone and these communal meals are always enjoyed and well attended, strawberry tea. As many of our members experience loss of partners, and suffer bad health our group facilitates peer group support and over the years firm friendships are formed. Every meeting includes tea and biscuits and a lots of conversation and laughter. |
