Recipient Org: Description | 4th Braintree Scout Group aims to give young people opportunities to try new activities, gain new skills, meet new friends and as a result build their confidence. We have 165 young people in our group aged between 6-14.5 years old. We have 2 Beaver Colonies, 2 Cub Packs and 2 Scout Troupes that run every week during term time. We have 43 volunteers who support the group in many ways either by sitting on our executive committee, by being leaders, assistant leaders, fundraising committee members or parent helpers. We are an inclusive movement and will always work with families to find the best way to support them and their child, whether it be overcoming a disability or helping with finances. We will offer families free loan of our equipment where they do not have their own and pride ourselves on being a diverse group who offer many young people opportunities they may not otherwise have. |
