Recipient Org: Description | Tysoe Village Hall was built in 1929 for the activities and benefits of the village and is owned by Tysoe Village Hall. The committee represent the village and users of the hall which is the hub of village activities. It caters for 200 people, has a stage, kitchen and committee room. It is used by many different community groups for a variety of events. Tysoe Social Club occupies part of the building under a tenancy agreement with the Village Hall. The hall is single story and located in the centre of the village and was extended in the 1940s and 1960s. The roof was replaced in the 1980s and recently some windows were renewed and double glazed. In the last 2 years we have raised over £36,000 from grants and our own fundraising efforts and this has enabled: A disabled toilet, hearing loop and double doorways for wheelchairs. Re-wiring and new energy efficient heating and lighting. New stage and audio equipment New guttering, loft insulation and storage New chairs are on order. |
