Recipient Org: Description Our objectives are: 1) To support people who are out of work, young people off mainstream curriculum or anyone suffering from (or recovering from) poor physical and mental health, to acquire new skills and socialise in a work like environment. 2) To make bike mechanics accessible and fun for all, through courses and open DIY workshop sessions 3) To recycle old and abandoned bikes (reducing waste) and make them available to people who need them. 4) To deliver cycle training to children and adults with the aim of getting more people cycling more often and more safely. We deliver the following activities: Therapeutic workshop on Mondays and Tuesdays where people from all walks of life can use our safe and inclusive workshop. Volunteers work to recondition old bikes with the help of a trained mechanic. DIY workshop: anyone who want to repair their own bike can use our tools and advice Cycle training: we work with over 500 children per year to give them the skills and confidence to cycle on the roads. Spares, repairs and sales: We repair bikes and sell second hand bikes to help fund the social enterprise.
