Recipient Org: Description | The PSU is a registered charity working in Bristol Civil and Family Justice Centre and 12 further cities in England and Wales. We provide practical help and emotional support to people going through court proceedings without a lawyer. Our aim is to enable people who are disadvantaged by a lack of legal advice engage with the court system and so obtain access to justice. People come to the PSU at times of crisis. We work to help them understand the processes and feel calm and in control of their time in court. Our vision is for everyone facing court alone to have access to a PSU volunteer. |
