| Recipient Org: Description | Cintre is a registered charity established in 1977. We have over 35 years experience of providing high quality residential care, outreach and supported living services for young people and adults with learning disabilities and other complex needs in a structured and therapeutic environment. Cintres aim is to provide the individual with independence in order to participate in society. This is achieved by: - Offering high quality support services; - Enabling individuals choices and involvement with their community; - Providing bespoke packages for individuals; - Making the transition into independence seamless; - Ensuring that staff teams are committed and professional. The individuals we offer support to are aged 18 years upwards and have been diagnosed with varying learning disabilities. These can include Aspergers Syndrome and other autistic spectrum disorders, Fragile X Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), challenging behaviours, drug and alcohol misuse, Tourette's Syndrome, and sexual and behavioural issues. All service users have their own care and development programme designed to help them to achieve independent living within three to five years. Programmes can include college courses, day care, daily living skills, social activities and activities such as arts, crafts and DIY. |
