Recipient Org: Description The Noise is a charity aiming to mobilise Christians (and particularly young people) to make a difference in their local community and has been running since 2001. The Noise is a yearly event in Bristol, now having taken place for 16 years.The Noise 2018 will be taking place from the 3rd - 7th April 2018 as part of a wider initiative known as Hope Bristol 2018, and in more communities than before. The Noise works with existing community organisations within each area and in partnership with churches and statutory organisations. Some of the communities will include: Horfield, Lockleaze, Manor Farm, Southmead, Sea Mills, Lawrence Weston, Shirehampton in North Bristol,and in Easton, St Werburghs, Barton Hill and Fishponds in East Bristol and Knowle, Bedminster and Brislington in the South. Over the 5 days over 1,500 volunteers from local churches and communities will be working with young people volunteering through Hope 2018 on a range of projects, which are designed to benefit as many sectors of the community as possible. These include; community projects, litter clearance, family fun afternoons, community BBQ’ s, car washing, sports activities and senior citizen’s events. All of these initiatives and events are FREE for the community.
