Enhancing Patient Wellbeing by Increased Ward Activities (3474)

£270,355

This project aims to improve inpatient well-being and recovery by increasing access to structured activities during evenings and weekends. Working with external providers, it will offer diverse activities, including exercise, arts, music, and cultural sessions, tailored to service user preferences. This will reduce boredom, anxiety, and distress, fostering a more therapeutic ward environment. Service users will benefit from greater engagement, personal development, and social connection, while staff and patients will experience a calmer atmosphere with fewer incidents of agitation. The project also supports long-term recovery by helping patients continue activities post-discharge, promoting social inclusion and independence.
