Villa EmployAbility (360G-BirminghamCC-101051)

£6,000

We will work with approximately 40 young people aged 16-25 who are faced with complex and persistent barriers to employment due to their learning difficulties. The project will provide a tailored experience rather than adopting a “one-size-fits-all” approach – this is because learning difficulties are likely to be placed on a wide spectrum, which in turn will impact day to day life in a different way. Given the demographic characteristics of the local population, it is likely that the majority of our beneficiaries will have an ethnic minority background, some of whom speak English as a second language. This will add further socio-cultural and language barriers which are detrimental towards employment prospects.
