Recipient Org: Description Luv2meetU is a friendship and dating agency supporting people with learning disabilities or autism across West Yorkshire. Members are fully involved in running Luv2MeetU and choose from a wide range of social, sporting and leisure activities which they attend in small groups, at mainstream community venues. Luv2meetU reduces social isolation and loneliness, builds people’s confidence and increases their independence and life-skills. We are adapting our work to take place online and using digital technology to continue delivering a service that is able to comply with government restrictions. Luv2meetU CIC is a subsidiary of Hft; the CIC structure enables the project to be shaped by members, for members; involving people at all levels from local groups up to the Luv2meetU CIC board. As an Hft project Luv2meetU also benefits from shared expertise, resources and advice from Hft, which help ensure Luv2meetU is cost effective. Hft have a large infrastructure in place which provides in-kind support in the form of HR, IT, fundraising and marketing advice as well as financial and training support and therefore demonstrates value for money.
