Recipient Org: Description Citizens Advice Calderdale provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone in relation to their rights and responsibilities. We value diversity, promote equity and challenge discrimination. We aim to help people find "their" right way forward in relation to the problems they face through the provision of advice in themes such as debt, employment, welfare benefits, energy and housing. During 2022/23, we helped 9830 people in relation to 29210 issues using face to face,e-mail, web and telephone access channels. We offer casework services to the most vulnerable Calderdale residents in relation to debt, welfare benefits and energy and in some cases, access to specialists in relation to consumer and housing by way of the Citizens Advice network. Clients are assessed using our holistic needs tool, providing an individual and bespoke advice package and as required, we work closely with the extensive Calderdale partnership network to ensure all needs are met. Citizens Advice Calderdale seeks to influence policy & practice through local and national research & campaigns. We are currently contributing to the national "Cost-of-Living" campaign, a crisis which has a disproportionate impact on the most socially and economically excluded.
