Recipient Org: Description The homeless pastors supports street homeless, they support them where they are on the street and build connections over time and hand hold them to services that can support them into a more permanent housing we provide weekly and emergency outreach in Halifax centre Provision of food, drinks, essential items, and immediate emotional support. Building trust and providing early intervention for people rough sleeping or in crisis. also weekly Light Groups (Peer-Led Support Sessions) which is Regular group sessions that provide community, routine, and a sense of belonging Safe, non-judgmental spaces to discuss challenges, progress, and personal goals. Peer support delivered by volunteers with lived experience of homelessness and recovery. Drop-In Sessions and 1:1 Support Open-access drop-in spaces where people can seek advice, refuge, and connection. One-to-one support to help individuals navigate housing applications, benefits, mental health pathways, addiction services, and employment preparation. Hand-Holding and Advocacy Accompaniment to housing, healthcare, safeguarding, court, probation, or support appointments. Advocacy to ensure individuals are not overlooked and receive appropriate care. Trauma-Informed Training for Faith and Community Groups Equipping churches, volunteers, and community hubs with practical skills and trauma-informed approaches. Helping communities better recognise and respond to complex needs safely and compassionately.
