Recipient Org: Description Treacle.me is a Community Interest Company, established in 2020 to solve the growing issue of access to social prescribing information. This includes finances, employment, education, mental health, physical health and issues around isolation. I am an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and developed Treacle to solve the problems we faced both as clinicians in a village Medical Centre, and food bank. The problem was that of "information poverty." Soon after going live Treacle was quickly adopted by local schools, social workers, job centres and the voluntary sector who all had exactly the same issue. The aim of Treacle is to improve health and well being and reduce the impact of poverty and improve community cohesion, by providing a brilliantly simple and easy to use directory of local and national services, in one very easy to access and simple to navigate, web site and app. Nothing else like it exists either locally or nationally. Our next objective is to expand Treacle outside the borders of Bradford into the wider area of Calerdale, so that a larger number of people can benefit from having a resource such as Treacle.
