Recipient Org: Description LCA is a charitable company limited by guarantee and custodian of Luddendenfoot Community Centre, built in 1914 and in use by the community since 1957. It is operated by LCA on a 125 year lease following a community asset transfer from Calderdale Council in 2013. Our mission is to deliver economic opportunity and social value for the people of Luddendenfoot and its surrounds by creating a nurturing, inclusive and vibrant community hub where people of all ages can come together to learn, connect, and thrive. Our objectives to deliver this are: Put LCA back on a sustainable financial footing by increasing the use of Centre by the community with a targeted approach to attracting users. Improve the existing spaces for users through small grants, donations and community action including our Sponsor a Space scheme Develop and implement a plan for the redevelopment of the Centre so that it is fit for the future and continues to meet the needs of our community long-term. Secure significant capital investment for redevelopment while preserving the cultural heritage of the building. Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders and community organisations that deliver economic growth and social value to our community
