Recipient Org: Description | We are a small charity working with children from aged 11 -18 and young adults up to the age of 25 in Lancaster, Morecambe, Fylde and Wyre areas. We support young people to improve their emotional health and wellbeing and put their voices at the heart of our work. We achieve this in a number of ways such as providing emotional health practitioners in schools and trauma workers, counsellors and a CBT therapist in our Lancaster based office and in the local community such as community venues and GP surgeries. We work with a young person for as long as they need us to or until we see a significant improvement in their emotional health and they have developed coping strategies to put into practice in future. We also work with other local community organisations to build up a network of support which we can signpost and refer into after we have provided our service. We have a proven track record for supporting young people, in 21/22 we supported over 600 young people, this year to date we are supporting over 475 young people, with over 100 referrals on our waiting list. |
