Our kids club runs all year round 5 days a week, as well as regular open access sessions we hold additional opportunities for children aged 10+ Our aim is to create diversionary opportunities to reduce crime by encouraging children to join us instead of hanging around the streets in gangs and becoming involved in anti social behaviour. Another aim is to prevent hunger within the community every Thursday our Eat to Greet session, were everyone in the community is welcome to join us and enjoy a hot meal, the occasional game of bingo and to socialise with others. Kids club sessions include a wide variety of opportunities such as art and crafts, sports, dance, table games, trips, litter picks, swimming lessons as well as educational workshops such as gun and knife crime, bullying, drugs and alcohol and money management. Our holiday projects provide similar to during term time but includes more fun workshops such as jewellery making, nerf wars, animal visits and a trip for every week for all as well as trips specifically for children aged 10+. We also work with the elderly residents and take them on days out when funding is available as well as joining in with our community bingo. All of the above is provided free of charge.
