Recipient Org: Description We are a mental health support charity that provides various ways to find healing and belonging. We seek to help those within our community who are struggling with serious life challenges such as loneliness, relationship breakdown, exclusion, poor mental health and addiction. We provide help through three channels: 1) Connections Hub : We have a 'connections hub' which works with the NHS, the city council and other local and national charities to identify and connect people in need with support services in Lancaster. We also use social media and personal networks to engage people. Once we have established contact we develop a dialogue to understand people's challenges and help coordinate support for them locally. We support many of these people through our community programme. 2) Weekly Community Programme : We provide a wide range of skills-related courses and community engagement activities, through which individuals can gain structure, confidence and self-esteem that will help them become part of a positive community, achieve their own goals and if wanted, return to mainstream employment. Groups and courses include: Living Life to the Full CBT Course, Job preparation, CAP Money Course, Coffee Time, Arts and Crafts, Book Club, Walk with a Doc, Cook-Along and may other workshops and social activities. 3) Residential Programme : A residential home which seeks to provide stable accommodation as a 'halfway house' for men returning to community after addiction rehabilitation who are given time to gain skills that lead to independent living, education or employment.
