Recipient Org: Description The Billy Project CIC is a grassroots, user-led community organisation established to support vulnerable and marginalised women and girls through physical activity, peer support, and community engagement. It was founded in response to increasing local need around mental health, isolation, and barriers to accessing safe, inclusive spaces. We are shaped by the voices and lived experiences of the people we support, allowing us to respond quickly and flexibly to emerging needs within the community. The organisation is led by experienced community practitioners with over 20 years’ experience across health, community development, and supporting vulnerable groups, including women affected by trauma and abuse. We are supported by volunteers, many with lived experience, who play an active role in shaping and delivering our work, ensuring our approach is trusted, relevant, and accessible.
