To provide telephone befriending service to those isolated and vulnerable due to Coronavirus, using trained volunteers offer support in a flexible way during the crisis. Working in partnership with local Nursing & Caring direct team.

Recipient Org: Description | Emerge Counselling Services are: (1) To reduce the number of deaths caused by suicide within the Lisburn & Castlereagh area by offering a holistic approach to addressing the affects of poor mental health and emotional well-being. (2) To provide effective, professional, bespoke training and information sessions with a view to encourage an understanding of poor mental health, it's consequences and the potential to help or support those impacted by it. (3) To create a space of safety for:- (a) People in mental health crisis to access specialist help and support. (b) Groups to meet with peers who have relatable experiences in a supported setting, providing them with the opportunity to share positive methods to overcome life events. We offer one to one counselling, a crisis walk-in facility, a crisis telephone hotline, befriending and suicide prevention training. |
