Bring together people who have a common interest of the public benefits in our community and facilitate their sharing and networking, so they know they are not alone to promote the needs of homeless and marginalised people locally by means of high quality PR, thereby helping to reduce discrimination towards them and influencing the local community to become more supportive and less judgemental. to provide information, support and practical help that will empower people to make and act on informed choices arrived at by themselves, in particular for people who are homeless and those vulnerable to becoming homeless, who are lacking the necessities of life, and to advance education on issues associated with homelessness for the public benefit. providing safe shelter, accommodation, food and health counseling, emergency assistance to families or individuals affected by poverty or dispossession. Our approach is tailored to the people and our community. Wherever we work, we do so with common values and the same respect for each person we meet. Our work ranges from providing safe shelter, accommodation, food and health services to helping people affected by homelessness receive the education, employment and social services they need. We provide Food to people in our community living in poverty and to those in crisis through our Food Bank we operate in Belfast and hopefully to start a new one in Lisburn. We provide Northern Ireland’s homeless with care packages, including food, sleeping bags, clothing, and other items essential for decent and dignified… We help with form filling to people who need help with filling out forms and other paperwork. We offer support to help people tackle all kinds of issues such as rent arrears, benefits issues, and social isolation. We hold regular events and meetings to help raise awareness of the homelessness situation in Northern Ireland. Our work is to get the homeless of the streets for Good.. We have an Assertive Outreach Team who go out onto the streets of Belfast and Lisburn, to help people off the streets and into accommodation. The service works assertively with: All rough sleepers Those insecurely housed and at immediate risk of rough sleeping Those leading street-based lifestyles which may involve begging and street-drinking Our outreach team pro-actively identifies rough sleepers through regular outreach sessions and responds swiftly to local reports of people sleeping rough or engaged in street-based activity. It takes a multi-agency and person-centred approach to supporting people off the streets and into appropriate accommodation and services, as quickly as possible. We seeks to secure a rapid, supported re-connection for rough sleepers who are not from the local area. It actively works with the whole community to improve the lives of rough sleepers, increase understanding and awareness of rough sleeping and reduce anti-social behaviour and to improve the environment. Our goal is Recycling, Ending Poverty and to empower people who face homelessness. Improving their quality of life and helping them stay off the streets for good.
