Recipient Org: Description | CIP is committed to supporting people from different cultural & ethnic backgrounds, that reside in the ABC Council area. CIP aims to enable new communities to fully integrate into and participate in an equitable society which represents difference and celebrates diversity. CIP seeks to be a catalyst in promoting innovation, create opportunities for community development and develop good relations between both local and across the spectrum of ethnic communities. CIP Strategic Priorities" - Training and Capacity Building - Delivery of an effective BME Support Service - Development of Intercultural Family Support programmes – - Expansion of Social Inclusion and Integration Services - Promotion of Good Relations - Raise awareness of and reduce Exploitation of Vulnerable People. CIP provides the following services: - Bilingual Advice & Advocacy Service- delivered by 4 bilingual p/t staff, ie Plish, Portuguese, Romanian & Lithuanian. In the period 2019-2020 staff proved approx 3000 face to face sessions for 760 different BME clients form 16 language groups - BME Family Support Programme- a. a BME Family worker provided centre based and face to face support for 200 BME mothers form 12 nationalities in the period 2019-2020 b. 4 p/t community navigators provided face to face home support to over 100 BME families from the following languague groups in 2019-2020, Bulgarian, Polish, Portuguese, Arabic & Romanian. - BME Youth Integration Programme. 3 staff members provide after school support and youth activities for 750 children from 12 nationalities - Human Trafficking & Exploitation Awareness Programme. 2 p/t staff proved focused groups to BME members who were at risk of exploitation in the ABC Council area. - Crossing Border,Breaking Boundaries. PEACE IV- Cross border Reach into experience of BME workers in the border counties. To date 600 surveys of BME members have been completed and 200 BME members supported in racial ways as a result of labour exploitation. EUSS. CIP assisted 2300 BME members in the period June 2019- April 2020 in the completion of applications to the Home office for their UK entitlement rights. The main lanagueb groups, Romanian, Lithuanian, Bulgarian, Portuguese, Polish Lithuanian In the 2019-2020 period CIP has been involved in the following groups STEP EUSS advisory group and delivery partner ABC Family Hub Youth service advisory group NI Assembly Human Trafficking Advisory group CYPSP NI Advisory group re holiday hunger.
