Lesotho has the world?s second highest HIV prevalence at 23.2%. Whilst the Ministry of Health run health clinics and provide a basic level of service to those affected by HIV, Kick4Life is the only organisation in Lesotho using sports as a tool for engagement to work with young people affected by HIV. Based in Maseru, Kick4Life own and operate from a training centre which includes football pitches, classrooms, a hotel run as a social enterprise and a conference centre which is rented out to local organisations as a source of income for the charity. Kick4Life will deliver ?Goal4Life?, which aims to empower young people with the knowledge and life-skills to develop healthy behaviours and remain HIV free, improve health, develop key life-skills including self-confidence, communication, leadership & teamwork, improve basic skills including literacy, numeracy and provide access to work placements and structured training/job opportunities.
