Empowering communities to TAP Malaria (360G-CR-2685370)

Funding Organization
£768,676

The project will address the poor use of health care services by pregnant women and young children who are most vulnerable to the effects of malaria. Poor use of health care services is due to poor quality care in health facilities and/or a preference for using traditional healers and drug sellers. The project will work with these groups to encourage referral of vulnerable people to health centres. These groups will also deliver information addressing myths and concerns about using health services. The project will support local authorities and community representatives to improve the quality of care provided through improved monitoring, planning and collaborative problem solving with health facilities.
