Ashiana Sheffield and the British Red Cross will deliver awareness raising sessions in West Yorkshire and the West Midlands to women who are likely to be at risk of or have survived trafficking. Sessions will aim to empower women to access specialist support services for information, and start to gain control of their lives, increase their independence, and heal. Guidance and training will also be given to front line staff of relevant agencies, to help them better identify and support women at risk, and refer them to specialist support. The grant will cover two anti-trafficking support salaries and associated costs, along with overheads, interpreting, evaluation and accommodation costs.
