GFATM SR18 Freeing African communities from the deadly threat of malaria (360G-CR-3801297)
Malaria is a leading killer of children under five in Sub-Saharan Africa, although it is almost entirely preventable and treatable. This grant will fund the procurement of malaria rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs), long-lasting insecticide-treated mosquito nets (LLINs) and malaria treatment in Malawi and Uganda, as well as Health System Strengthening approaches including Health Worker training and strengthening the drug supply system and health information systems. Pregnant women and children will be particularly targeted for malaria interventions. This application includes match funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
