Ready Steady Go: Supporting the early childhood development of children with disabilities in Kenya. (360G-CR-4184361)
A significant proportion of children with disabilities are not accessing pre-primary education in Kenya, despite it being critical in laying the foundation for their development, inclusion, and quality of life. This project will take a multi-faceted approach which includes the development of effective early identification systems and will build the capacity of key community-level staff, so that they more effectively support children and their families. There will be an innovative Inclusive Play Programme which is core to their approach. As a result, this project will improve access to good quality and inclusive early childhood education for children with disabilities.
