Lived Experience to Leading Change (360G-CR-4209394)
Care-experienced young people can feel that 'corporate parents' - the term for agencies designed to support their care - fail to appreciate the challenges they face. While the first #iwill grant was about the broad recruitment of members for Voices From Care, this grant will build on the organisation's work to influence policy/ practice. The project will enable care experienced young people to come together in small groups (based on location or issue) to work on social action campaigns that will help to influence corporate parents. For example, a group of care experienced young people in North Wales may create a pod-cast aimed at changing a referral practice within a housing team.
