The Social Care Action Fund (360G-CTF-FR-00313)
The programme catalyses a wave of new research that can understand what high-quality social care looks like for autistic adults and how it can be delivered well in the real world. Autistica will do this by creating the Social Care Action Fund with the CareTech Foundation. Through a partnership with the National Institute for Health Research, the Social Care Action Fund will directly support social care research studies alongside helping researchers develop their research ideas. The programme?s key deliverables will be: 1) Five research studies given additional funding of up to £100,000 each (each study will result in many more deliverables, dependent on its area of focus). 2) Five+ researchers will be supported to develop their research ideas, with seed funding, support from Autistica staff, and expert input from autistic people and CareTech PLC staff.
