Casty Crew & Adventures Activity Club (360G-CheshireCF-A492861)

The school would like to extend its performing arts provision to include their more vulnerable and disenfranchised young people. For this to be successful they will create a separate and exclusive group (The Casty Crew) where these students could stamp their own identity and exercise some control on the content and direction of their ideas under the guidance of experienced and qualified adults both from the learning support team and performing arts staff. As well as acquiring new and different skills, these students would develop increased self-confidence and self-esteem whilst working as part of a team of like-minded young people towards common goals. Students would be involved in the planning, design and delivery of their projects leading to actual performances in front of an audience drawn from the local community as well as fellow students. A programme of outdoor and adventure activities will be delivered for the same group. A grant will pay for specialist staff, equipment and transport.
