Sporting Opportunities for All (360G-CheshireCF-A492868)

The school is extremely passionate about providing all pupils with the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular sports and activities. They recognize the physical, social and mental benefits that extra-curricular activities bring and want to develop opportunities for more pupils to participate, including pupils with disabilities. They will work with more vulnerable and hard to reach pupils to break down the barriers that are preventing them from participating and look at how to raise their self-esteem and confidence through engaging them in physical activity. They will also broaden what they offer to engage pupils in learning through activities that take place outside the classroom, including developing their 'Duke of Edinburgh Award' and opening it up to more students. A grant will pay for staff, training, equipment and transport.
