The school plans to reinvigorate the Duke of Edinburgh offer to include bronze and silver awards. Bronze award will be open to 14-15 year olds and Silver award will be open to 15-16 year olds. All awards would include the 4 sections required by the programme, Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition. The Duke of Edinburgh scheme provides additional skills and attitudes for our young people that they need to help them develop as rounded, confident young adults. It will address issues facing young people today include mental health, self belief, self confidence and physical activity. The grant will pay for staff, kit and equipment and accreditation fees for less well off pupils.
