The development of a Health and Wellbeing suite for learners at Ysgol Eirias. (360G-CheshireCF-A494083)

£6,564
Recipient Organization

This project will create a Health and Wellbeing suite. By utilising the space previously used as a gymnasium in a more contemporary way we will be able to provide extra-curricular activities that are more likely to be accessed by the current generation of young people, with equipment that will enthuse, engage and inspire our learners to want to attend pre-school, lunchtime or after school sessions. It is these sessions, without the necessary structure of physical activity lessons, that we anticipate our more vulnerable, withdrawn or diffident learners will improve their physical and mental wellbeing, confidence, interactions with other learners, sense of belonging and resilience. A grant will pay for training, staffing and equipment.
