Syating connected and active (360G-CheshireCF-A552829)

£2,040
Recipient Organization

MacIntyre support people with learning disabilities / or autism, of which over 250 are supported in Warrington People we support are self-isolating for 12 weeks due to the higher risks of contracting and being impact by COVID-19, therefore we would like to support them better to connect with family and friends whilst staying active, mentally and physically. The funding will be used to purchase iPads for people we support to use. Many suffer isolation and exclusion from society anyway therefore CVD – 19 is just compounded issues and highlighting how excluded and unequal people with a learning disability are in society. People with a learning disability rarely work or have the ability to save up and purchase an item like an Ipads which many of us in society take for granted ad 8 of our homes do not have braodband so the ipads will therefore need an internet dongle to go online. The Ipads would enable us to get some routine back into the lives some of the most vulnerable in society, setting activities, virtual friendship groups and virtual meals with family.
